AFC Wimbledon are the visitors to The Broadfield Stadium for a Blue Square Premier fixture that both managers have described as a must win match.
Wombles manager Terry Brown acknowledges he expects a tough match against The Reds as does his opposite number Steve Evans.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday evenings big match Terry said; We are looking forward to the match at Crawley. Our matches against them this season have been very close with some excellent football played by both teams.
“Steve Evans and Paul Raynor have done an outstanding job over there. They are very passionate and on limited resources have put together a very useful team.
“Last Saturday Altrincham made it hard for us and sat men behind the ball, it will be more expansive at Crawley and it should suit us.”
Steve Evans also believes it will be an exciting match. Steve said; “Both teams need to win as we chase for the playoffs, we certainly do. Both teams will be going for a win so it could be a classic between two good sides.
“Many people tell me Wimbledon are having a superb season and I cannot disagree. What I also know is that if we get all three points there will only be a couple of points separating the teams and our season is average, I struggle to understand that.
“We will have a new loan player or two in our squad for the visit of AFC Wimbledon. With Adam Quinn out, Glenn Wilson and Eddie Hutchinson struggling it perhaps does fit perfectly the title of ‘emergency loan’.
“On Saturday at Stevenage we played some super football and that strategy will not change against Wimbledon. Terry Brown has put together an excellent squad, they certainly have a few options to select from but I do believe it will be about what we do that matters.”
