Crawley Town can confirm that Matthew Langston has joined the Reds on an emergency loan from Blue Square Premier rivals Histon. The player will be at The Broadfield Stadium at least until Sunday 18th April 2010.

Sussex born Langston (28), has been outstanding for Histon and can be regarded as a major scoop for manager Steve Evans especially given the current injury crisis at The Broadfield Stadium.

Steve said; "Matt is a player who I have admired for some time. He is a leader of men and is clearly an asett to us not just at this time but perhaps for the future although it is very early days.

"He will make his debut against Wimbledon not because of injuries but he plays because he makes us a better team.

"I am grateful to Bruce Winfield and Susan Carter for sanctioning the loan signing but they could see we were down to the bare bones. I would like to add one other but that will be a decision for later in the week."

Langston has been allocated squad number 5.
