Reds assistant manager Paul Raynor has praised the players for putting together a real positive run of results since early December but has joined manager Steve Evans in warning them that they face very difficult opponents at The Broadfield Stadium on Saturday when Ebbsfleet United visit.

Ebbsfleet United have found themselves in a relegation battle which is a mystery for most teams in The Blue Square Premier because manager Liam Daish has recruited a very decent squad. Recently they have started to find their form and its makes Saturdays encounter all that more interesting.

The Reds will be looking for 3 more points that will keep alive their chase for an end of season playoff spot despite operating on a shoestring playing budget and being down to a sixteen man squad which includes new loanee Matt Langston and two goalkeepers.

Paul said, '' Ebbsfleet have got some useful players and Saturday will be another big test for us but it is another game that will be decided on what we do on the day, I really do believe that given the lads the Gaffer has got signed here. Without a doubt the Gaffer deserves enormous credit for putting them together and had he not had to sell some of the lads we had here for financial reasons we would be fighting at the top of the table with Stevenage Borough and Oxford United, many more than me also believe that''.

''The Gaffer has watched Ebbsfleet recently and when he showed me the away form statistics for them. I must admit I was surprised. They are unbeaten away from home in their last six Blue Square Premier matches. In fact they have won four out of the six, winning away at the likes of Luton Town and gaining points on the road at the likes of Kidderminster Harriers and Wrexham so that demonstrates clearly what a decent team they are. They have struggled more at home when perhaps there is a bit more pressure on you to deliver results and you need to be more expansive in your play but the results they have got on the road deserve the highest respect. If for one minute we under estimate what they can do we will be in trouble, so we need or focus to be one hundred per cent''.

'' Today we have Charlie Ademeno, Glenn Wilson, Eddie Hutchinson, Adam Quinn and Matt Langston in the treatment room and they will be given every chance to be fit for Saturday but whoever plays will know how important the match is''.
